Professor Christopher Chia has been appointed Adult Education Fellow (AEF) by SkillsFuture Singapore, its highest award for professionals who set the benchmark for quality and excellence in adult education.
Professor Chia was among five individuals that made up the first ever recipients of the AEF award which was presented at a ceremony officiated by Senior Minister of State for Education and Communications and Information, Dr Janil Puthucheary at the Institute for Adult Learning.

For this edition, we invited Nobel laureate Professor Robert C. Merton, a Distinguished Professor of Finance at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University.
At this session, he discussed topics on the impact technology and financial innovation have on the economy. According to him, while a well-functioning financial system is essential to achieve sustainable economic growth and development, innovation is key to foster growth and improvements in the financial system.
More than 50 business leaders from the region including Malaysia and Indonesia attended a Masterclass Series on Family Business in a forum organised by the Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations (CGIO) of NUS Business School on Friday, 20 October 2017.

Teams Taxus and iPhone Tax clinched the first runners-up and second runners-up spots respectively in the Tax Case Challenge category, while Team Group Relief became first runners-up in the Tax Associate category. Other teams also grabbed various consolation prizes.
On the final day of Global Network Week, Dean Professor Bernard Yeung, in his closing speech, said the Week helps students and schools better understand the world, share ideas and perspectives, and develop innovative solutions to social and business challenges.
