The School recently welcomed Mr Ong Ye Kung, Acting Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) & Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence, on 13 September, 2016 for a dialogue with faculty members and students, as well as a tour of the School’s facilities.
Dean Bernard Yeung, Deputy Dean Professor Kulwant Singh and Executive Director of Dean’s Office Ms Joan Tay hosted Minister Ong and gave him a tour of the state-of-the-art CAMRI lab in Mochtar Riady Building.
Minister Ong then met with key faculty and staff members of the School to discuss the need for relevance in education today. He also sought feedback about the skills needed for training future generations.
Dean Bernard Yeung shared how we are innovating our curriculum and incorporating experiential learning in our programmes to train future leaders.
Minister Ong also took time to meet with undergraduates and graduates of the School for an informal chat.
The visit is among the many strategic initiatives undertaken by the School to facilitate the exchange of ideas with prominent influencers in Singapore.
